ALLEGED PEACE TERMS
STORY FROM AMERICA DENIAL BY BRITAIN (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrig-ht) NEW YORK, August 6 High authorities in Berlin reveal that Hitler’s peace terms have been handed to King Gustav of Sweden for transmission to England, states the New York Daily News. The proposals, the paper adds, includes:— (1) Britain to stay out of Europe proper. (2) Britain to return to Germany the Cameroons and East Africa. (3) Germany to guarantee the British Empire protection against the “Yellow Peril.” (4) Norway to remain a German province and Belgium and Holland a German protectorate. (5) Germany to retain the portion of France she now .occupies. (6) Italy to have a free hand in Spain and Greece, under German supervision, and also to control ail the Adriatic coast. “Nazi sources close to the High Command declare that Britain will be allowed a ‘reasonable period’ in which to consider the offer,” states the Daily News. “If Britain rejects the terms, Germany will attack her soon as the weather permits, and will probably use a new gas, blanketing the ground and hiding the movements of the attacking units. London Denial It is officially stated in London (in reference to the above report), that the British Government has received no German peace proposals via Stockholm.
