AWARD OF DAMAGES
SERVICE CAR ACCIDENT (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Tuesday A jury of 12 in the Supreme Court today awarded the full special damages, £217, and £225 of the £IOOO general damages claimed, to Owen Casey, labourer, aged 33, of Wellington, against Jenkins Motor Services, Limited. Plaintiff was a passenger in a service car travelling from Wellington to Masterton which overturned near Greytown on October 21 last. He suffered a severe lacerated wound on the upper left arm.
After judgment had been entered, it was announced that two other claims arising from the accident and which had been set down for hearing by a Judge alone had been settled.
