RAIDS ON BRITAIN
NAZI PLANES DESTROYED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrig-ht) LONDON, August 5 Three enemy fighters were shot down by the Royal Air Force near the south-east coast of England this morning, states an Air Ministry communique. One British machine is missing. Enemy aircraft carried out raids or. a few isolated districts in the Midlands and eastern England last night, states a Ministry of Home Security communique. The damage was negligible. There were a few casualties, one of which was fatal.
