CONSCRIPTION OF WEALTH
FREEZING WORKERS’ VIEW War time sacrifices were discussed at a fully representative meeting of the Horotiu branch of the Freezing Workers’ Union recently. The opinion was expressed that the Budget stood for inequality of sacrifice. The following resolution was passed unanimously:—“That this meeting protest to the Government against the inequality of sacrifice called for by the Budget, which is placing too great a burden on the lower paid workers. We demand that real conscription of wealth be carried out in its entirety.”
