SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS
BRITISH FLEET AIR ARM ITALIAN WARSHIPS AGROUND (United Press Assn.— Elec. TeL Copyright) LONDON, July 6 The Admiralty announces that aeroplanes of the Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Air Force carried out a most successful attack on Italian warships sheltering at Tobruk, Libya. Eight direct hits were observed. Two ships went aground and a third was seen to be lying on its side, heavily damaged. Others also suffered dam age. Other craft of the Fleet Air Arm attacked the aerodrome at Catania, Sicily. Hangars and workshops were set on fire and destroyed.
