DEATH AT 96
MRS FRANCES CONNER The death occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs N. Bell, !of Anglesca Street, Hamilton, last ! night, of Mrs Frances Conner, in her j 97th year. Born in Bishopsgatc. London. Mrs Conner, was formerly Miss Frances j Spankhurst, and about <3O years ago ! was employed in the household of I Sir William and Lady Dunbar in Kcw, England. She remained there j until sue married Mr Charles Conner :in 18G7. In about 1875. accompanied i by their family of three young chiid- ‘ ren, Mr and Mrs Conner came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Itod- ! ney. and lived at Wellington. Following Mr Conner’s death in 1893 Mrs Conner lived at Mastcrton for some years, and came to Hamilton 16 years ago. She had lived with her iliugiit*. in Anglosea Street ever since. Mrs Conner is survived by four children, Messrs E. Conner (Wellington), C. Conner (Masterton), W. Conner (Wellington), and Mrs N. Bell (Hamilton). There are 12 grandi children and five great-grandchild- * ren.
