SPIRITED BIDDING RED POLL SALE auction: in waikato Spirited bliwrng for the imported bull, Wamgaro Manna, marked the dispersal sale of the Waikato Red Poll stud on account or Mr W. Leask, Eureka. A number ol‘ South Island breeders was present, but the llnai contest between Mr Harold Wilson, of Wairnai, and Messrs. L. C. Anderson and C. U. Anderson, wellknown Wanganui breeders, the latter llnally proving the buyers when they raised the hid to 100 guineas. The younger sires realised as follows; Wingaroo Mart (Imp.), Mrs C. Woodhouse, Timaru, 40 guineas; Waikato Klngi, Messrs. T. C. and 11. W. Wilson, Walmai, 27 guineas; Waikato Red Chier, Mr A. T. Goodwill, Kopuku, 27 guineas. Bull Calves; Wiakato Playboy, Mr J. Donaldson, Balclutha, South Island, 23 guineas; Waikato Arrogance, Mr A. F. Goodwin, Kopuku Pokeno, 27 guineas The auctioneers, Messrs. Wright Stephenson and Company, Limited,, report having purchased a number of animals for various Soutli Island breeders and effected a total clearance of 103 bead to local and distant buyers. The top juice for females was 47* guineas paid by Mr L. C. Anderson. Wafor the imported cow, Wingaroo other prices realised were as follows: Cows.—Opato No. 20, 1.. C.
