APPARENT POISONING
CONDITION OF VICTIMS TIN OF SALMON SUSPECTED (By Telegraph.—Pres* Association) AUCKLAND, Monday Feeling unwell at a cinema on Saturday evening, Geoffrey Felix, aged 19, went home in a taxi and found his father, Mr Walter Felix, aged 51, carpenter, and his mother, aged 49, in a similar condition. Mrs Felix struggled to a nearby shop at Point Chevalier and telephoned a doctor. Later the three were admitted to hospital. Today Mr Felix and his son are reported to be progressing favourably, but the condition of Mrs Felix is only fair. It is thought that poisoning may have resulted from a tin of salmon which formed part of the evening meal.
