OBITUARY
MRS D. MITCHELL The death occurred suddenly at Hamilton East yesterday of Mrs Mary Mitchell, aged 66 years, wife of Mr David Mitchell. Mrs Mitchell was the daughter of the late Captain Lewis Matheson, formerly harbourmaster at Fortrose, Otago. She lived in Dunedin for many years and was a member of the Knox Church choir prior to her marriage in 1903. With her husband she came to Hamilton in 1914. She was a well-known member of St. Andrew’s Church, and a member of the St. Andrew’s Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. During the last war she did much work for the soldiers and their families, and was sewing for evacuee children ri&ht up to the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, a daughter. Mrs R. Sweetman, of Taupiri, and one grandchild.
