DIRECT HITS SCORED BRITISH-ITALIAN CLASHES (Official Wireless) (Received July 4, 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, July 3 An official communique issued at Nairobi states: Although there has teen no resumption ground activity in the Moyale area our aircraft carried out very successfully heavy attacks on enemy defences yesterday, scoring direct hits on more gun positions, bombing machine-gun posts, and machine-gunning reinforcements sheltering in a ravine. An ammunition dump was blown up. It, is now revealed that the Italians fired 350 shells into British Moyale before launching then- first abortive attack ou Monday.
