A GIRL’S ORDEAL
3IAULED BY GREYHOUNDS TOSSED BY SAVAGE PACK When police visited the premises of the owner of a pack of dogs which mauled a girl of six at West Preston, they found 15 snarling greyhounds locked in a shed, says a Melbourne paper. The injured girl, Edna Waite, is on the danger list at the Children’s Hospital. The girl's father and a friend saw the dogs worrying something in the street, and tossing it into the air. They found it was Edna. The owner of the dogs told tho police that they had broken away and run into the street. He was warned to keep them securely locked up until it was decided what should be done with them.
