Mrs T. P. Weatherhog, Hamilton, has returned from a visit to Wellington.

Mrs K. P. Eade, Hamilton, is spending a holiday in New Plymouth.

Mrs E. B. Hey wood and Miss Helen Heywood, Hamilton, are on a holidav in Auckland.

Mrs A. Ramsay, Hamilton, is in Wellington visiting the Centennial Exhibition.

Mrs Elliot, Hamilton, has returned from a visit to Mrs C. Baker, Ngahinapouri.

Mrs H. P. Blundell, Marton, is visiting Hamilton as the guest of her mother, Mrs A. E. Manning.

Mrs G. M. Wright, Buckland Road, has returned from visiting the Centennial Exhibition at Wellington. Miss Athalie Gaze, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs Wynn# Jones. Napier, is visiting her mother, Mrs H. E. Gaze, Hamilton

The pianoforte recital to have been given by Miss Sydney Strang in the Lyceum Club tonight has, owing to unforeseen circumstances, been cancelled and will take place at a later date.

Next Saturday Mr lan McKay and Miss Anne Stewart will be married in the Exhibition assembly hall—the only ceremony of the kind to have taken place at the Exhibition. The venue of the ceremony will be appropriate, however, since Mr McKay has been living at the Exhibition, in the radio van stationed behind the Australian Court.

Miss Nancy Northcroft, younger daughter of the Hon. Mr Justice Northcroft and Mrs Northcroft, has leceived official advice that she has passed the final stage for the degree of bachelor of architecture. Her success also entitles her to become an associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Miss Northcroft studied at Auckland University College, the only university college in the Dominion that has a chair of architecture. She has the distinction of being the only woman architect in the South Island, and the fourth to qualify in the Dominion.
