SUCCESSFUL YEAR
ORPHANS’ CLUB ACTIVITIES The annual general meeting of the Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club was held in the Parish Hall last night. Bro. F. Moody presiding. In his report, Bro. Moody said that the season opened with a credit balance of £5 11s lid, and closed with a credit of £9 4s 4d. The financial membership at the end of the season was 62 and attendances had been satisfactory. During the season the club paid and received several visits to and from neighbouring clubs. Special thanks were due to the Cambridge Club which gave considerable help on the occasion of the first ladies’ night. Several members had gone on active service and particular mention was made of Bro. J. Oliphant. a past president. Officers elected were:-—Patron. Bro W. J. Broadfoot, M.P.; president,
