| TOWN BOARD MEETING £3500 WATER SUPPLY PROPOSAL (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. At last night's meeting of the Klhlkthl Town Board advice was received from I the Local Government Loans Board that , permission to take a poll on a water sup- ; plv proposal had been granted. The pro* i posal is to raise £5500. Certain conditions in connection with the poll were stipulated but there was no objection raised to these. if the poll is successful, a bore will be sunk to ascertain the volume of water available, and if this is adequate the proposal may pYoceed. An amendment by Mr LehndorT, with the chairman as seconder, that a charge to cover expenses be made, was lost. Present at the meeting were Messrs A. Maunder (chairman), \V. McGhie, F. E. Lehndorf. R.
