CLOSER COLLABORATION RELAXATION OF RESTRICTIONS NEW TRADE AGREEMENTS (Official Wireless) (Received March 2, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, March 1 Quietly, unobtrusively, but continuously measures are being worked out between the organs of the Government and the Administration in Britain and France and put into operation which will give effect to the agreements reached in the early days of the war between the two Governments for closer collaboration. It was announced on Tuesday that the Board of Trade had arranged for substantial relaxation of the restrictions on imports from France. It is stated today that to permit the greatest possible freedom for payments arising out of French and British commercial transactions new regulations have been introduced by the French Exchange Control, facilitating British imports. In addition the restrictions on the granting of credits will be relaxed in both markets.
