THE LATEST RETURNS DISCOUNT RATE UNCHANGED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 29 The latest Bank of England returns are:— Issue Department.—Notes in circulation £531,200,000, notes in the banking department £49,000,000, other Government securities £563,400,000, other securities £5,100,000, silver coin - £500,000. Banking Department.—Rest £3,600,000, public deposits £45,700,000, bankers’ deposits £99,400,000, other accounts £38,900,000, Government securities £127,100,000, discounts and advances £2,800,000, other securities £22,200,000, notes and coin £50,000,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities, 27.17 per cent. The Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per cent.
