ADMIRAL BYRD’S EXPEDITION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received February 24, 3 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 Rear-Admiral Byrd’s ship Bear has radioed that it has reached 37 miles south of the seventieth parallel, 1300 miles from the Pole, the furthest south which the Americans have reached hereabouts. The North Star has left Valparaiso and is returning to the Antarctic.
