RIDER KILLED BY POLE ,«y TelefDMnti.—press association) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday Injuries which caused his death were received by a man when he was thrown from a horse and struck an iron pole at Okain’s Bay yesterday. The victim was:— Mr Mervyn Wilson Biekerton, aged 32, married, of Christchurch. Mr Biekerton. a grandson of Professor A. W. Biekerton, first professor of science at Canterbury University College, was engaged in journalistic and general photographic work in Christchurch.
