U-BOAT SUNK

SIX IN TEN DAYS AIRMEN DROP BOMBS OIL ON THE SURFACE (United Press Assn.—Elec. T<*l. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 17 A coastal command aeroplane patrolling over the North Sea is believed to have been responsible for sinking the sixth U-boat since February 9. The airmen dropped bombs ahead of the submarine and, as her periscope disappeared later large patches of oil and bubbles appeared on the surface of the sea.

The aeroplane flew over the spot for a long time, but there was no further sign of the U-boat.
