WOOL IN AUCKLAND FIXED FOR FEBRUARY 26 HASTE URGED ON GROWERS The Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association announces that the next wool appraisal at Auckland under the British Government wartime purchase plan will commenae on Monday, February 26. This will be the fourth of the series for this season, and will be followed by a final appraisement on Monday, April 1. The association states that the unseasonable weather which has been experienced throughout the province for the past month or so has had a considerable influence on the handling of wool and only comparatively small quantities have been received into brokers’ stores during the last few weeks. Growers, therefore, would be well advised to expedite their deliveries to brokers so that all their wool will be in store not later than the middle of March to give sufficient time to prepare it for the final appraisal of the season on April 1. Any wool which is not available for this appraisement will have to be held in store until the commencement of the following season.
