UNIQUE WEDDING CAKE
HAS RADIO AMPLIFIER MADE BY CAMBRIDGE BAKER One of the most unique wedding cakes, and profrably the world’s first radio cake, has been made at Cambridge and is at present there on display. It has been made for the Moore-Harvey wedding to be held in Auckland shortly, the bridegroom being a Hamilton resident, Mr Thomas Moore. A beautiful 4-tier cake, it was designed by Mr S. D. Johnstone, the well-known Cambridge baker, and it was constructed by Mr Johnstone and his son. It stands about 4ft. in height and weighs 641bs. The unique feature is that the bottom tier has been built to house a radio amplifier. The cake is artis.tically decorated and is a veritable work of art.
