DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The New Zealand surf life-saving championships opened at Lyall Bay. AVellington, to-day. The number of entries, 323, representing; 23 clubs, constituted a record. Among- the competitors were g-irls from the Waiteinata Club, Auckland, and “mldsets” rrom castleeiiir and Titahi Bay. Results were:— Bellman's Championship.—Finalists; New Brig-hton (H. Horsfall), l; Lyall Bay (R. Pelham), 2; Waltematu B (A. pascoe), 3. Junior Four-man Alarm.—Finalists: Lvall Bay B, 1; Maranul B, 2; Lyall Bay A, 3. Women's Land Drill.—.Mill’ord g-irls, l; Waltemata, 2. Nelson Shield (New Zealand senior rescue and resuscitation championship).— Finalists: Taylor’s Mistake, l; Lyall Bay A. 2; Lyall Bay B, 3; Maranul A, 4. Now Zealand Junior Individual Surf Race Championship.—'Canterbury (\v. Hart), l; North Shore (C. Nettle ton). 2; Maranul (K. Albert), 3.
