NEW ZEALAND SEAMEN ARE THEY INTERNED? GRAF SPEE PRISONERS (United Press Assn.—Elee. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. 16, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 15 The following New Zealanders are believed to be still captive aboard the Admiral Graf Spee’s supply ship, of; which nothing has been heard since February s: R. Pittman, of Okaihau, and Jack Blythe, of Coromandel, trimmers from the steamer Tairoa. C. A. Watt and P. G. Bowie, of Wellington. G. C. Lynch, P. J. Craig and David Nicholas, of Auckland, and J. Wheeler, of Dunedin, all passage workers from the Doric Star. New Zealand House has requested the Red Cross to inquire whether the crews of the Tairoa and Doric Star are interned in Germany. The Daily Telegraph gives prominence to an account of the experiences of prisoners aboard the Admiral Graf Spee during the River Plate battle from A. D. Dixon, of Auckland, who signed on the Tairoa as a deck boy with the object of enlisting in the Royal Air Force.
