CHANCE FOR PENZANCE ROTORUA AS A GUIDE TE TAKINA IN FORM The Linley Hack field abounds with good hack sprinters. Te Takina won at Ellerslie last month over the distance and is sure to go well again, while Town Section, who followed up h>- Matamata success with a second on either day at Roto-
rua, should lack little on the score of condition for racing at the meeting. Sir Robin, too, is in form and will claim an optimistic following, while the improving Starbright, if reserved, will have to be conceded a chance. Penzance has been racing disappointingly since winning here in November, but her close second to Trilliarch at Rotorua the other day suggests she is coming right again. Pasture is speedy and Hunto’s prospects will be enhanced in the event of the track being soft tomorrow. Gold Wings, Lady Clorane, a winner at Matamata, Hunter’s Night and Bronze Emerald will all have a certain following, but indications are the prime fancies will include — PENZANCE TE TAKINA SIR ROBIN
