DEATH OF MAORI
VERDICT BY CORONER (Special to Times.) WHAKATANE. Thursday The inquest into the death of John Maaka. the young Maori who died at Te Teko as the result of injuries inflicted by Robert Tukehu on January 20, was concluded before the district coroner, Mr G. A. Brabant. The coroner returned a verdict that Maaka died from blows on the head from the starting handle of a car delivered by Robert Tukehu.
