Mlsa Valerie worked well. Orelio Hit* Out Well Orelio was not timed over five furlonga but he hit out well. Gavmis* ran half-a-mile in 49 8-6*. golng from the five to the furlong post. Thl* is uhe fastest part of the track but, nevertheless. she worked well. Lovaals. relishing the conditions, hit out well over half-a-mile in sis. Gaums and Agrleola were easing up over the last furlong or five which they completed In 1.3 3-5. Phllcourt got slightly the better of ttie start with Paddy the Rip at the seven furlong post and, after running the first four In sis, came home In 1.31 2-5 but Paddy the Rip was with him at the finish. This was Phlleourfs best effort for some time. limiting Bee and rurpal ran half• a-inlio In 5 1 2-r.s, being together at the finish. Jack far and Te Raw HI were rcpsonslble for a solid effort ovet six furlongs which they completed In 1.17, the last three lu 4 os. Both worked well, particularly T® Kawltl. palustre went half-a-mlle easily In 53 2-ss, while Namara completed a similar distance In 5 1 s. Bachelor King (Burgess) gave an excellent exhibition while Jumping Tour hurdles. Dauber and Saecone are unlikely to make the trip to Te Rapa.
