INDIAN TROOPS
MESSAGE FROM THE KING WAR EFFORT OF EMPIRE MR EDEN’S GRATITUDE (Omciai Wireless) (Received Feb. 15, 1 p.m.) RUGBY, Feb. 14 A message from the King was read when Mr Anthony Eden visited the Cairo camps of the Indian troops. The message, which was addressed to all ranks, stated: “I greatly appreciate the contribution which the Indian Army is making to the war effort of the British Empire, and I know that, as in the Great War, they will prove themselves equal to any demands that may be made upon them.” Mr Eden expressed Britain’s deep gratitude for the presence of the Indian troops. Mr Eden will leave for Palestine on Thursday.
