r.ISCOE—I’FARBIRV WHITE LACE GOWN Mount Eden Methodist Church, I Auckland, was the scene of a pretty j wedding on February 3, when j Thelma Eileen, eldest daughter of Mr i and Mrs J. H. Yearbury, Peary • Road, Mount Eden, Auckland, was i married to William Henry, younger j son of Mr and Mrs H. T. Pascoe, King Street, Frankton Junction. The ! church was beautifully decorated ! with blue hydrangeas. The Rev. Jack j conducted the ceremony and Miss P. j Jack played the wedding music. I The bride, who was given away by ! her father, wore a charming frock of j white lace over satin. The long panelled skirt finished in a short train, and ; the V-shaped neckline was finished j at the front with a spray of orange I blossom. The long sleeves came to a point over the hands. Her white tulle veil which formed a second train was held in place with a halo of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orchids. Retinue of Six The four bridesmaids were Misses Win Yearbury, sister of the bride, Lorna Pascoe, sister of the bridegroom, Violet Yearbury, sister of the bride, and Jean Brokenshire, cousin of the bride. They all wore similar frocks of apricot taffeta made with long panel skirts, gathered panels inset the fronts of the corsages and finished with a row of tiny buttons from the necklines to the waistline at the backs. The short sleeves were pleated at the lower edges to form a puffed effect. They wore shoulderlength veils of pale blue net held in place with halos of blue flowers. Each wore a spray of delphiniums on the left shoulder and carried a bouquet of delphiniums and blue hydrangeas. The little flowergirls, Irene Yearbury, sister of the bride, and Gwen Morris, niece of the bride-

groom, wore frocks of pale blue georgette over taffeta, made on early Victorian lines with full gathered skirts, ruffles at the necks and on the short puffed sleeves and finished with j bows down the front. They wore j halos of blue flowers and carried j posies of apricot dahlias and lilies. I The bridegroom was attended by j Mr W. G. Morris, of Whatawhata, as j best man, and Mr G. Yearbury, of | Auckland, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception j was held in the Mount Eden Method- j ist Hall, where Mrs Yearbury receiv- : ed her guests wearing an ensemble of j jade green and a navy hat. She car- i ried a posy of dark red roses. Mrs j H. T. Pascoe wore an ensemble of I navy and royal blue with navy hat j and she carried a posy of roses in autumn tints. When Mr and Mrs W. H. Pascoe left for their honeymoon, the bride travelled in a suit of spring green with biege accessories.
