TA Copyright) (Received Feb. 14, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 13 Questioned in the House ol Commons about the forthcoming visit to Europe of Mr Sumner Welles, the Prime Minister said: “I need hardly say that the British Government, for its part, will be ready to welcome President Roosevelt’s representative and to take him fully into its confidence, with the ob ject of assisting the President in forming an estimate of the present situation ” ______
The King received Mr G. M Vereker on his appointment as British Minister to Finland.
