FREE LOAN OF £SOO
WAR EXPENSES ACCOUNT (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON. Tuesday The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, stated to-day that a cheque for £SOO had been deposited to the credit of the public account by Quickshine, Limited, Auckland, as a loan free of interest to the Government for the duration of the war. The Minister, in expressing appreciation of the company's action, said he hoped many others would follow the generous example of those indi - viduals and business firms who had already shown in this way practical evidence of their desire to assist the Government in its prosecution of the war.
