WELLINGTON HARBOUR RACE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sunday. The Annette Kellerman Cup harbour swim was held this afternoon. The con- j clitions were good, although the water was ! cold, the t. rnperature being only 00 de- i grees. A large crowd watched J. C. Blakeley 'Wellington! win in a thrilling llnish with P. Malthus (Wellington) over' the last lap. They kept together to with- j in 30yds ol' the finishing point, when! Blakeley made a llnal spurt to gain a length on his opponent at the finish. Blake- j ley, who gained fastest times In this race i at Lyttelton in 1934 and Dunedin in 1930,' again established fastest time, taking 78m 15s, which is regarded as the fastest time ever recorded in the race.
