ROTORUA SUCCESS A DAY OF SURPRISES KAKARERE AT LONG ODDS i MAY SONG SCORES IN LAST The success of Trilliarch in the Borough Handicap, in which he returned over a third of a century on the win machine, and the triumphs of Kakarere in the Electric Handicap, at over a score, and Lady Acushla, Hutana and May Song, who won at double figures straight out. contributed to a surprising series of , dividends on the second and con- « eluding day, yesterday, of the Roto- j rua Racing Club’s annual meeting at I Arawa Park. After a minimum of delay the numbers were altered. In the following , race there was another demonstra- ■ tion, this time against the delay on j the judge’s part in hoisting the placings. In the concluding event, the Kia Ora Handicap, the original figures were shown as No. 9 (May Song), first; No. 2 (Brazilian), second: and No. 6 (Grand City), third.
