SOUTH AUCKLAND TITLES RAIN INTERRUPTS PLAY Rain caused an interruption of play on Saturday afternoon in the South Auckland croquet championships in Hamilton. Matches were continued today but the weather was unfavourable and interruptions were frequent, with the result that progress has been slow. Both A grade and B grade matches are being played at the Whitiora Croquet Club’s greens now, and there will be no further play at Frankton. Additional results are:— A Grade Championship Singles.— Mrs Cleveley 26, Mrs Borrie 18; Mrs Allsopp 26, Mrs Claughton 19; Mrs Kibblewhite 26, Mrs McCullough 18. Handicap Doubles, A and B grade players.—Mesdanies Brough and Windsor 26, Mesdames Bonthrom and Haynes 17; Mrs Kibblewhite and the Rev. Bianchi 26, Mesdames InnesAllan and Litchwark 17; Mrs Hilton and Miss Joyce 26, Mesdames Ibbotson and Middleton 8; Mesdames Brough and Windsor 26. Mesdames Innes-Allan and Litchwark 21.
