WEDDING

SMITH—NOLAN CLOVER CREPE FROCK A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, Cambridge, on the afternoon of Friday, February 9, when Audrey, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs V. H. Nolan, of Roto-o-rangi, was married to lan Tasman, only son of Mrs and the late Mr Tasman Smith, of Tauranga. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. W. Chandler. The bride, who entered the church with her father, chose a short-sleeved model frock of clover wool crepe designed with a bodice of novelty pleating and a gored skirt. She wore a wide-brimmed black felt hat and carried a sheaf of gladioli, carnations, and roses in shades of clover. She was attended by Miss Biddy Farrer, of Hamilton, who wore a frock of airforce blue wool sheer fashioned with a softly gathered bodice and a skirt of unpressed pleats. A large-brimmed clover hat and a sheaf of gladoili, carnations and roses in clover tonings completed the ensemble. The bride’s mother wore a model frock of honey gold jersey cloth, a toning hat of burnt straw and a corsage of matching flowers. The bridegroom's mother wore a smart ensemble of black and white and she carried a posy of rose pink flowers. When Mr and Mrs I. T. Smith left on the wedding trip, the bride travelled in a tobacco brown worsted pinstripe suit worn with a large brown felt hat and brown accessories. They will make their home in Cambridge.
