The Bishop of Waikato, the Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, will leave Hamilton on Monday for Nelson, where he will attend the triennial sittings of the Anglican General Synod, which open next Wednesday.
Sir Alexander Young, of Auckland, has been visiting Hamilton.
Messrs J. E. Spencer and Z. Saba, of Wairoa, are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr L. K. Munro, w’ho was in Hamilton yesterday on Supreme Court business, has returned to Auckland.
Archdeacon H. R. B. Gillespie, of Morrinsville, will leave on Monday to attend the Anglican General Synod at Nelson.
Mr T. J. Fleming, who was in Hamilton yesterday on Supreme Court business, has returned to Rotorua.
Mr Justice Blair, who is presiding at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court, Hamilton, is spending the week-end in Auckland.
Mr F. Harris, of Huntly, left today for Nelson. He will attend the Anglican Synod which opens on Wednesday.
Mr J. Goulter, stud stock manager of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, is visiting Hamilton.
Mr A. B. Whyte, secretary and treasurer of the Diocese of Waikato, left Hamilton today to attend the Anglican General Synod at Nelson.
Mr J. J. Stevenson, agricultural master at the Palmerston North Boys’ High School, has been appointed instructor in agriculture under the Wellington Education Board.
The Rev. C. W. Chandler, vicar of Cambridge, and Mr E. P. J. Trevena, of Hamilton, will leave on. Monday for Nelson, where they will attend the Anglican General Synod.
Gunner W. M. Armstrong, aged 25, of Bayswater, Auckland, had the honour of being presented to the King and Queen, according to a cable received by his friends in Auckland. Gunner Armstrong left New Zealand aboard a British merchant ship, and in all probability was the New Zealand sailor mentioned in a cablegram as having conversed with Their Majesties at the reception given to New Zealanders at the Mansion House by the Lord Mayor of London.
