Another Singing Star
Singing Victor Herbert melodies—as he is doing in “The Great Victor Herbert” for Paramount—is not anything new for Allan Jones. Out of the 35 Herbert melodies in the film, there is only one that Jones has not done before. That is “Someday,” which he sings with Mary Martin. The singing star has appeared in several Herbert operettas in various parts of America, and has sung many of Herbert’s selections in concert, on the radio, and for records.
