OBITUARY
MR JOHN MOORE The death has occurred at Whatawhata of Mr John Moore, at the age of 90 years. Born in County Monahan. Northern Ireland, he came to New Zealand in 1881, landing at Auckland. Mr Mo< re was at first employed by the Railway Department, being engaged in the construction of the line to the Waitakarei Hills. Later he took up farming in the Waikato ar.d Raglan counties and continued in that occupation until his retirement 17 years ago, when he went to live at Whatawhata. He was a member of the Orange Lodge and the Alpha Masonic Lodge Cambridge. Mrs Moore predeceased him two years ago. Mr Moore is survived by three sons and three daughter*.
