BOISTEROUS NIGHT

HEAVY RAIN AND WIND UNSEASONABLE WEATHER Although early February usually brings warm weather to the Waikato, the temperatures this month have been considerably below the average. Another fall was experienced last night following the rain yesterday. With a heavy downpour early last night and a high wind, boisterous conditions developed and continued throughout the night. The rainfall for the 24 hours ended this morning was .32 inches. The actual duration of the rain squalls was not long but the fall was extremely heavy. Early this morning another downpour occurred. The rainfall for February to date is 1.77in., compared with 1.42in up to the same date last year. For the year to date 9.12in has fallen, which is slightly above the fall of 8.67in up to the same year.
