Copyright) SYDNEY, Feb. 8 The Minister of Supply, Sir Frederick Stewart, announced today that the Commonwealth Government will .spend £25,000,000 on aircraft construction and maintenance in the next two and a-half years. The Minister said an Aircraft Commission, which would probably be headed by Mr H. W. Clapp, former Chief Commissioner of the Victorian Railways, was being set up, and the workshops under its control would have to keep 3000 machines in the air. Sir Frederick said he could not disclose the numbers and types of aeroplanes that were being built.
