PETITIONS IN DIVORCE
ORDERS FOR RESTITUTION BANKRUPTS DISCHARGED Four petitions for divorce, three applications for the restitution of conjugal rights and three applications for discharge from bankruptcy were heard before Mr Justice Blair in the Supreme Court, Hamilton, yesterday afternoon. Orders for the restitution of conjugal rights, to be complied with within 40 days, were made in the following cases: Geoffery Hamilton Roche (Mr H. J. Ferguson) v. Thelma Jean Roche; Alexander Charles Wallbank (Mr H. M. Hammond) v. Zena Jean Wallbank; and John Eric George Cowan (Mr W. J. King) v. Hilda Ivy Cowan. Decrees nisi, to be moved absolute after three months, were granted in the following actions, each of which was brought on the grounds of separation: William Ernest Cockbill (Mr P. G. Harkness) v. Marjorena Cockbill; Eileen Maude Clotworthy (Mr J. F. Strang) v. James Wilson Clotworthy; Mary Winifred Leacock (Mr N. S. Johnson) v. Robert Alexander Leacock. In the case in which Joseph Rowland lienshaw (Mr H. J. McMullin) sought a divorce from Janet Henshaw, His Honour was not satisfied with the proof of service and made an order for a decree nisi to be granted on the filing of satisfactory proof of service on the wife of petitioner.
Discharges from bankruptcy were granted in the following cases: Allan Norman Ross, men’s outfitter of
Taumarunui (Mr D. Seymour); Edward Andrew Twamley Smith, millworker of Taringamotu (Mr W. J King); and William Samuel Walker millhand of National Park (Mr H. C M. Norris).
