Increase In Beer Prices
Following the recent increase of 3d a gallon in excise duty on beer, and the raising of the duty on spirits, increases in the prices of these commodities have been made by hotels in Auckland. No action has been taken by licensed victuallers in Hamilton, but a meeting is expected to be called shortly to discuss the matter.
