TE RAPA TRACKS
RESPECTFUL OVER SIX LITTLE GALLOPING DONE (By “Martian”) A restricted programme was observed at Te Rapa this morning, when the going on the course proper, approximately 75ft. out from the rails, was in splendid order. Beau Repaire (Hall), Olympus (McKenzie) and Mayfair (Ramsay) ran home from the three-furlong peg but were not after time. Beau Repaire and Olympus, who were somewhat light in condition on returning from Sydney recently, have done well in the interim.
Respectful (McKenzie) was two lengths clear of Forest Acre (Thomson) over the deciding stages of six furlongs in 1.21, the final half-mile being run in 55 l-ss. Respectful appears to have benefited from racing at Cambridge and may soon be seen to advantage. Foxsen (Telford) and Starbright (J. Mclnally) were practically on terms at the completion of half-a-mile in 56 l-ss.
Acreman (J. Mclnally) was shading Meadow (McKenzie) over the concluding stages of half-a-mile in 55Js. Hunto (Winder) and Requiem (Hain) were associated over six furlongs in 1.21 J. Commemoration and Joyvaals dashed over two furlongs along the back in 255.
C. L. Goulsbro will be attending the Stratford meeting on Saturday, his mounts including Donegal.
