Mrs E. C. Brewis, Hamilton, fs spending a fortnight’s holiday at Taupo.

Mrs G. Smith, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs A. Head, in Hamilton, returned to Auckland last night.

Mrs J. Davidson, Inglewood, has returned home from a visit to Hamilton.

The pantomime, “A Woodland Romance,” was successfully presented by the pupils of Miss Ailsa Docherty at Otorohanga on Tuesday night. It will be presented in Hamilton on November 13.

Miss Ella Knowles, Inglewood, has returned from a trip to Morrinsville. Miss Margaret Johnson, formerly of Hamilton, and now in Wellington, was a guest at the New Zealand Centennial' Exhibition Ball last week. Miss Truda Mayo, Hamilton, is assisting to care for evacuated children at Bognor Regis, England. Miss Margaret Mawson, who has been for some time instructress at the Y.W.C.A., Hamilton, will shortly leave New Zealand for England, where her marriage to Mr H. J. Victory, of Port Talbot, South Wales, will take place. Her position at the Y.W.C.A. will be filled temporarily by Miss Janet Willis, of Marton, who has been training at the Y.W.CA., Wellington.

The committee of the Hamilton High School Old Girls’ Association recently entertained the school girls at the hostel, the evening being spent most enjoyably in playing games and competitions. Elocutionary items were given by Misses Rosalie Seddon and Joyce Spratt. Those present were:—Mesdames H. D. Tait, A. P. Nelson, C. Browne, W. Godfrey, and Misses C. Hogg, M. Gwynne, Seccombe, McNicol, D. Robertson, D. Downes. E. Bennett, L. Kendrick, D. Bishop, R. Seddon and Litchwark. Miss Dorothy Paterson, Hamilton, has returned from an extended visit to Auckland.
