COMMERCIAL INQUIRIES ASSISTANCE FOR TRADES bb._._ -u—----r ’ (Official Wireless) (Received Sept. 26, 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 25 The Ministry of Economic Warfare announces that for the convenience of British and neutral traders a commercial enquiries section will be established to answer enquiries from commercial firms, shipowners and agents. Enquiries by letter whenever possible in duplicate, should be marked “CJE.” They will be answered with the utmost dispatch. The main object it to assist concerning particulars of consignments of goods detained or likely to be detained by contraband patrols. The section is unable to advise on the export policy, import or export licensing, assistance for British exporters in neutral markets, or questions arising out of the Trading with the Enemy Act. These matters are the responsibility of other Government departments.
