“WET” CANTEENS
DOMINION R.S.A. IN FAVOUR (By .Association) WELLINGTON, Monday “The Dominion executive of the Returned Soldiers’ Association is unanimously in favour of wet canteens,” said the Dominion president, the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., when a telegram which stated that the Auckland branch was urging the establishment of wet canteens was referred to him. “Other branches of the association also are taking an interest in the welfare of men on service and subjects that require approach to the Government are being referred to the Dominion headquarters for the parent body to act.”
