FLOODS IN SOUTH
2000 ACRES UNDER WATER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Monday Mild weather, causing a quick thaw on the Otago Central Mountains, resulted in a rapid rise of the Taieri River, which has flooded the roads near Riverside. This morning’s Outram-Mosgiel train failed to get through. Some 2000 acres are inundated and many farms isolated.
