QUIET ON ENTIRE LENGTH ALLIED PLANES KEPT BUSY HELP OF NAVAL FORCES United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright* (Received Sept. 23, 3 p.m.) PARIS, Sept. 22 A French communique states that there was a quiet day alone the entire front. The naval forces continue effectively to assure the protection of convoys, and beat off enemy submarines. BASLE, Sept. 22 French and British warplanes were busy throughout the day protecting the movements of troops against German observation planes. Both sides are reserving their bombers for mass attacks. Official photographs in the French press show that France has a new light tank.
