Copyrltrht) LONDON, Sept. 21 The following are the Bank of England returns for the current week: — Issue Department.—Notes in circulation, £546,500,000; notes in banking department, £33,600,000; other Government securities, £565,700,000; other securities, £3,000,000; silver coin, £300,000. Banking Department.—Proprietors’ capital, £14,500,000; rest, £3,700,000; public deposits, £21,400,000; bankers’ deposits £107,900,000; other accounts, £40,000,000; Government securities, £121,900,000; discounts and advances, £2.500,000; other securities, £28,900,000; notes and coin, £34,200,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities 20.21 per cent. Bank of England discount rate four per cent.
