GIFT AFTERNOON

FOR MISS L. PEARCEY A delightful gift afternoon was given by Mrs F. Kennedy and Mrs F. Bennett, at the Centreway Rooms recently to Miss L. Pearcey, whose marriage to Mr Bussell Bottomley takes place on Saturday. The tables were charmingly arranged with spring flowers, and during the afternoon songs were rendered by Miss Muriel Whittaker and Miss Kyra Forsyth entertained the guests with tap dances. Mrs Kennedy was wearing a London tan frock, a toning hat and fox furs, Mrs F. Bennett was in a bottlegreen suit, a matching hat and furs, and Miss L. Pearcey wore a Glouces-ter-green frock, and a tan hat.
