CONCERT AND DANCE
COUNTRY QUEEN BENEFITS A most successful concert and dance was held in the Fencourt Hall recently in aid of the funds for Miss Barbara Taylor, the country queen. On arrival Miss Taylor was presented with a spray of spring llowers, and during the concert was introduced to her supporters. Miss. Taylor was wearing a becoming frock of ilaine taffeta with a black velvet coatee. The following artists assisted with the programme :—Miss Sybil Wallace, Mrs T. Bourke, Miss Paddy White, and Mr Gordon Webster, songs; Master David Bourke. Miss Betty Hail, recitations; Misses Margaret and Agnes Wallace, Miss Margaret Stewart dance numbers; Mr Jack Bartlett and Master D. White,, mouth-organ solos. After supper dancing was enjoyed, the music being supplied by Mr O’Keefe and Mr Wattam. Members of the committee present were: —Mrs A. N. Macky, wearing forest-green sheer; Mrs Wattam, mid-night-blue needlerun lace; Mrs Foster, autumn-shaded self-striped ninon; Mrs A. Brown, black ring velvet; Mrs Power, navy cloque; Mrs Low, black silk velvet; Mrs D. McMillan, black shiffon velvet; Miss Watkins, mossgreen georgette; Miss B. Xicoll, forestgreeu satin. Among others present were:—Mesdames Shaw, G. While, Turnhali, Turner, Ellison, Lang, Appleby, w. Robinson, Turkingtun, L. Swayne, W. Nicoll, 11. Webb, W. C. Wallace, T. Bourke. B. Arnold, Mac Kinder, Skellern, Paton. F. Jamieson. Misses Y. Appleby, Mary Macky, B. Griffiths, Margaret Macky, Noreen White, Jessie Power, Jean Power, G. Foster, B. Peake, Low, S. Mcnuigg, S.
